The Hanak Superb XP is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a high performance, Euro-Nymph specific reel at a reasonable price. The XP features an unusually wide large arbor design that allows it to pack a surprising amount of line capacity into a compact package. The full frame housing eliminates tangling and line/leader slippage while the matte olive finish puts glare at a minimum. The reel and spool are both machined from 6061 grade bar-stock aluminum and the fully sealed drag is simply the cherry on top! At under $200 dollars this reel should be serious consideration for anyone looking for a new, unique, fly reel.

I have seen and own many different reels. The Hanak Superb XP is the real deal, for the price point you will be hard pressed to match the quality, looks and feel. So far I've been testing it primarily in my fly shop and it has passed every single challenge. It even has a complete reel housing, which is really nice when you are on the water. I even bought a spare spool. Get one.
