Good budget hook
No complaints here. I've fished through several packages now and they have held up great, hold fish well.

New from Riberfly, the 1450 is their wide-gap jig hook, very similar in design to hooks like the Hanak 450, Firehole 551, etc... The hook features a claw point, extra wide gap, medium gauge wire and a black nickel finish.

- #10 = 15.9 mm
- #12 = 13.4 mm
- #14 = 11.6 mm
- #16 = 9.6 mm
- #18 = 8.4 mm

These Hooks Break!
I fish a lot and go through a number of flies, so I thought the lower cost of these hooks looked good, but 8 of the first twenty I tied broke at the jig bend. The fact that the hook breaks before the 5X tippet is not a good sign, and it appears to be a brittle break meaning the heat treatment of these hooks was likely not good. I'm going back to Firehole Sticks and toss the rest of these.
